Lela Close Invitational in Flint, MI
January 14-15, 2022
Our AXIS A team ended in 3rd place in the gold division. This included Raina Brenneman, Delaney Brinkman, Rose Lawrence, Jaycee Parent, and Noah Swallow. Our AXIS B team won 1st place in the silver division. This included Jade Brenneman, Samantha McDaniel, Ella Roby, and Ava Schleeter. Congratulations to all our quizzers!
Tri-State Invitational at MVNU
November 19-20, 2021
In the experienced division we entered two teams. The first team placed fourth out of the 38 teams that competed. This team included Raina Brenneman, Delaney Brinkman, Will Harter, Amy Jebsen, and Jaycee Parent. The second team including Noah Swallow, Samantha McDaniel, Jade Brenneman, Ava Schleeter, and Emma Flint did not place. There was some pretty stiff competition. Delaney Brinkman was #2 in individual scoring and Amy Jebsen was #18. In the novice division we also entered two teams. Our team that placed first included Rose Lawrence, Leah Fuller, Amelia Morgan, and Ethan Rodden. Our fourth place team was Eli Henson, Nevan Long, Jay Talbert, and Jeremiah Sheets. It was so exciting to watch these kids quiz as they did, many of them having their first experience of this nature. In novice individual scoring, Rose was #4 and Eli was #5. Congratulations to these kids! They are working hard studying God’s word. What an amazing accomplishment!
Congratulations to this year’s quizzers who competed in regional finals at Mount Vernon in May 2021. Delaney Brinkman was #1 overall in individual scoring! Amy Jebsen was #9 overall in individual scoring! Raina Brenneman was in the 2nd division and placed 6th in individual scoring! Lima’s local team took 1st place in the Local Team Competition! This team included: Delaney Brinkman, Amy Jebsen, Samantha McDaniel, Will Harter, and Eli Henson. AXIS quizzers who also competed at regionals on District All-Star Teams are: Jaycee Parent, Ava Schleeter, and Jeremiah Sheets. We are so proud of all of you!
