Lima Community Church COVID-19 Update

(Updated October 22, 2020)

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.
— Psalm 46.1

Dear Church Family,

As I write this, several of our staff have contracted the COVID-19 virus (myself included). Additionally it is very apparent that there is quite a COVID spike occurring in Allen, Mercer, and Putnam counties at this time. We want to provide an opportunity for continued worship while at the same time provide protection for our people. With this in mind, we are making the following change for this Sunday, October 25.

This Sunday, we will have one service at 10:45 am which will also be shown on our website and Facebook Live. This will be a short, 30-minute service that will be dedicated to prayer and scripture reading.  We are requiring that everyone attending the 10:45 am service wear a face covering as extra precaution.  There is no children’s ministry on Sunday since a number of our volunteers are affected by contact tracing, and there is no 9:00 am or 5:00 pm service.  There will be no Sunday evening ministries including AXIS Student Ministry, KIDSTOWN Klubhouse, and all adult groups and classes.

These certainly are strange days in which we are living. We will get through these days and will be better for having gone through them. Let us pray for the Lord to do a new thing in us and also to protect the vulnerable amongst us.

I look forward to seeing you again soon. Our Father greatly loves you, and so do I.
