upTOWN Preschool

Imagine a place where children will learn that GOD is a friend who will love them forever. Come join us in upTOWN Preschool where your preschooler (age 4 years old - kindergarten) will have the best hour of their week.

This is an exciting, action-packed experience designed with your preschooler in mind. Puppets, skits, stories, activities, and songs will grab their attention and make them want to come back for more!

We do this because we care about your child both developmentally and spiritually. We are here to partner with parents to guide our children into a relevant, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

And Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and men. Luke 2:52

Christmas Collection

Dear Kidstown Families, We want you to know about a special Christmas collection that we will be doing in all of children’s ministry (birth-5th grade). As we talk with our children about meeting other’s needs and showing compassion, we want to put these words into action by reaching out into our community. As parents, we all know how important it is to be able to get to work each day and get to those day-to-day places (like the grocery) to provide for our families. We have learned of a ministry in our area called “Wheelhouse” (A Christian Bicycle Cooperative). This ministry provides bikes to people in need of transportation. They work with local agencies to find people who have a true need of transportation to get to work, buy groceries, etc. Not only do they give them a bike, they also want to make sure they have the proper tools to protect themselves and their bikes. We are going to be “Pedal Partners” with them this Christmas season as we bring in money to help this organization get the helmets, bike locks, and bike lights they need to make sure these bikers are safe. It costs about $20/bike to get these items. Our goal is to collect enough money to help with 100 bikes. That is $2,000.00. We will begin this collection on November 10th and end on December 23rd. Your children can simply bring their offerings to church with them and give it in their ministry area – tinytown, upTOWN, or DOWNTOWN. We will also have a container at the First Time Family/Secure Check-in Counter where donations can be given. We will be tracking our progress as we go as we are on our way to reaching our goal. We will have a celebration weekend in the children’s ministry areas on December 29/30 to pray over the people who receive these bikes and supplies and praise God for allowing us to be a part of blessing others. Please talk with your child about the importance of giving and not simply receiving this Christmas season. We all love to GET gifts, but what a blessing it is to GIVE and reach out to those in need. Thanks for giving with us this Christmas season! Pam Little, Kim Watkins, & Cindy Lowry

Frequently Asked Questions

Tell me about your volunteers.

All of our upTOWN volunteers and staff have been through volunteer training and have had a BCI and FBI background check.

How does promotion work?

Children in the 4 and 5 year old classes are promoted on their birthdays.  Kindergartners will be promoted to 1st grade (DOWNTOWN) at the beginning of the school year.

What is your "well child" policy?

We ask that sick children not attend upTOWN in order to ensure the health of other children and staff.

What is your security policy?

In order to provide for the ultimate security of your child while in our care, we follow a strict security policy.  This is to ensure that only the proper adult may pick up your child.  When you register your child, you and your child will be given matching security ID numbers. You should sign your children in 15 minutes prior to the service starting. When the service is over, you must present your ID number to receive  your child.  If your child needs you during the service, we will put your security ID number on the screen in our main sanctuary and venue.  (20 minutes after each service begins, the children’s area is secured and only parents with security tags are allowed to access this area.)  In the unlikely occurrence the building needs evacuated, all parents will be directed to the East driveway parking lot where you may pick up your child with the approval of their leader.
