Equipping myself
for the Journey

A disciple is growing in love for God and others.

Classes and Workshops equip believers with the specific knowledge and skills they need to deal with the challenges they face as disciples of Jesus.

Regularly selecting and attending classes and workshops is one way I EQUIP myself for the journey.

Classes and Workshops are held throughout the year; venues and times vary. Check your bulletin for the latest schedules.

Alpha is for everyone who wants to explore life’s big questions… like, “Who is Jesus?” or “Why and how do I pray?”

No question is out of bounds. There is no pressure, no follow up, and no charge! We share a meal and relaxed conversation for 11 weeks. In Alpha small groups, you can ask any question and discuss opinions.

Financial Peace University is a nine-week class on God’s ways of handling money, taught by Dave Ramsey and his team.

Through videos, discussions and interactive small groups, you’ll learn how to get your finances in order, dump debt, and plan for the future. There is a charge for materials.

Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a biblical approach to overcoming hurts, hang-ups, and habits in a safe place where love and hope combine with God’s purpose to mend our lives.

You decide when and how much you participate. A meal is followed by worship, some teaching, then targeted, gender-specific small groups.

New for November 2016:

“Welcome Home” is a brand new chance for our veterans to hang out with a few of their own. Join us for dinner and the opening session of Celebrate Recovery at 6:30 every Wednesday in the Community Room. Stick around for men’s or women’s small group discussion specifically for veterans. It doesn’t matter if you are recently discharged or transitioned a long time ago, your Welcome Home begins Wednesday, November 16. Need more info? Contact disciple@limacc.com.
